Len joined the choir in 2012 and sings in the baritone section. He lives in the St Mary's Bay area with his wife Margaret.
Len was born in Leicester and at an early age he went to live in Camberwell, South East London. He undertook secondary education at Dovedale Manor School where he learned cello and also sang in the school and local church choirs.
After leaving school at fifteen he went into the printing business, but this was not his first choice and he moved into engineering by joining the Express Lift Company. During his eighteen years working with the lift company he met many politicians in the Houses of Parliament. Whilst repairing the lift in 10 Downing Street he also met Margaret Thatcher and Dennis Healy. He says he has many stories to tell, but he signed that special form.
Len is now retired and enjoys furniture restoration, fishing and also being a DJ. He is a fair weather motor cyclist and rides his Suzuki 800 when the sun shines.
Len and Margaret have two sons and one grandaughter who all live in London.
It's great to have you with us Len.
